Sharing is caring!

I consider myself one of those “Women Who Whiskey”.   Old Fashioneds are my favorite cocktail and can be made with whiskey or bourbon, so I’ve tried my fair share of both variations.  I’ve always been intrigued by the smell and taste of whiskey and I pride myself on thinking outside of the box when it comes to cocktails. Recently, I was sent two samples of a new whiskey from a boutique distillery in Ireland called Tipperary Whiskey  .  I like that Tipperary is co-owned by a woman,  Jennifer Nickerson and her mission is to get this whiskey on the radar of other women.  Her motto is, like with wine, all it takes is a taste.  Not only did I sip and sample the whiskey it but I created a cocktail with it also.

I received two small bottles from Tipperary, Watershed Whiskey and the Knockmealdowns Whiskey.  The Watershed was sweet with notes of vanilla and the Knockmealdowns has notes of caramel, chocolate and vanilla.  I decided to use the Watershed whiskey because I thought the vanilla notes would go well with the ingredients what I had in mind.  I call this drink the “Tipsy Tipperary”.

Ingredients:

2 oz Tipperary Watershed Whiskey

1 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lemon

1 tsp. Maple Syrup

Instructions:

Pour whiskey, lemon juice and syrup  into a cocktail shaker

Shake well

Pour into Martini glass

I garnished with a ginger slice and I also added egg white to give the cocktail a rich, creamy texture and a beautiful foamy cap.
