Crown Royal Apple Cranberry Caramel Cocktail

CAA

I love it when I discover a new liquor to enjoy and lately my liquor of the moment has been Crown Royal Apple.   I was introduced to Crown Royal Apple a couple of years ago at an industry event.  I had forgotten how good it was until a friend recently recommended it to me again.

I’ve always been a fan of Crown Royal Whiskey, it has a smooth mild taste and mixes well with anything. But once I tasted the Crown Royal Apple it quickly became my new favorite.  It can be enjoyed straight or on ice, it goes down easy and the apple flavor is strong but not overpowering.  Lately I’ve been drinking it with cranberry juice, but I decided to kick it up a notch and create this Crown Royal Apple Cranberry Caramel Cocktail – It’s a mouthful I know, but worth it.

It’s that easy!  Have you tried Crown Royal Apple?  What is your favorite way to drink it.?

Crown Royal hosts “The XO Lounge”

On Tuesday night, Crown Royal XO invited the “movers and shakers” of Baltimore to tour The Quintessential Gentleman Barbershop and Spa (31 South Calvert St).  I was there on assignment covering the event for The Fab Empire.com

QG1

Upon entering The Quintessential Gentleman I was immediately greeted by two hostesses with a tray of Crown Royal XO shots.  Crown Royal XO is a smooth whiskey and goes down easy without mixers or chasers, this is mainly due to the subtle sweet hints of vanilla.  I was also given a cocktail recipe card with four Gold Crown Cocktail recipes.

On the barbershop’s second level,  Crown Royal XO was also served straight or mixed to create a signature Gold Crown Cocktail.  I sampled the “The Noble Highball”  – 1.5 oz Crown Royal XO, 4 dashes bitters, topped with ginger beer.

QG4

Along with enjoying complimentary cocktails, guests mingled and munched on appetizers such as spanakopita, bourbon chicken, spring rolls, lamb chops, Cajun shrimp, and a fruit and cheese spread.
